NOTICE! IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTRATION:
Insurance Fee (optional)
If you pay the insurance fee (5 EUR) at the same time with the entry fee, you are able to postpone your registration to next year's event in case of sickness or injury.
For it to be possible, the participant is required to send a doctor's certificate before the race (postal stamp on the race day at the latest) to the organizers. The certificate can be sent by post, as an e-mail attachement or by fax. Remember also to inform us about possible address changes. The postponing can be made only for the runner him/herself and only by one year ahead.
The entry fees are not refunded in any case!
When you have sent us your doctor's certificate, your participation right will automatically be postponed to the next year's event if you had paid the insurance fee. You do not need to complete additional registration for the next year's event, but your name will appear on the participants list as soon as the new lists are published. If you cannot find your name on the list, and you had paid the insurance fee and sent the certificate in time last year, contact the office.
Without complete address information, you will not get the start permit
If you have moved or changed your e-mail address after having done the registration for the Helsinki City Run, please let us know by e-mail so that you will be able to get the mail to the correct address in the future as well. If the runner has not announced his/her address and e-mail address, all the necessary information regarding the race cannot be sent to the runner.
Every runner having done the registration for the Helsinki City Run will receive an information packet with all the necessary information regarding the event. Also, a registration card is sent, which should be taken to the race office to pick up the race pack.
The address information can be used for direct marketing, unless the runner has not allowed it separately. The organisation may occasionally send information concerning the Helsinki City -running events or offers of the co-operating companies by e-mail. The runner can exit the e-mail marketing list by informing the office.
Starting group according to the estimated running time
When doing the registration, make sure that you will tell your estimated running time for you to be able to be in the right starting group. There are several starting groups that are formed based on the estimated running times. Please, also tell your time if it is 3 hours. Runner, who has not told his/her estimated running time, will automatically be in the last starting group.
Age classes according to year of birth
There are different age classes for women and men:
M/W open, W35, W45, W55, M40, M50 and M60 years.
The runners are put to their own age groups automatically according to the year of birth. Class is defined based on the runner's age on 31st December on the race year. When doing the registration, the runner can choose to join the open class instead of his/her own age class.
There is no age limit for the Helsinki City Run.
Find more information about the age classes from FAQ.
